Philly Trip!

Tony and I spent a long anniversary weekend in Philly. We were there Saturday through Wednesday. Although it was a short visit, it was action-packed. We did some sightseeing (Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, LOVE Park, Academy of Natural Sciences), ate lots of good vegan food (Govinda's, MiLah, Basic Vegetarian 4 Life), took in a Phillies/Braves game, and visited with lots of friends (Genna, Rob, Ken, Ray, Jenn & Julian). Phew, what a trip!

Even though we walked a ton, I was able to keep up for the most part. Every now and then I would have to take a "baby break" (Tony came up with this term) and rest. I really thought we would ride the subway more than we did, but the subway stops were a bit more spaced out than I thought they would be. Buying tokens was also a hassle.

The pictures are of:  Tony & some giant Dominoes, some cute gifts from Jenn & Ray, Me & a giant Monopoly piece, and Citizens Bank Park.  For some reason this generic blog template won't let me pick where the pictures go. Grrr.

  1. Cool! BTW, we tried to play that Metallica lullaby CD for Connor at bedtime. It freaked him out.

  2. Haha, hopefully ours can handle the 'tallica lullaby CD. We plan on getting the Nirvana and Beatles ones as well.

  6. Yes I am, Alan. And I totally knew that, too.

*googles the cover of Action Comics #1*

If I had an old green car available I would have used that, but a giant domino was the only thing available.
