Milo turned 15 months old last Thursday. He decided to celebrate by getting viral bronchiolitis. It started out with some eye crud and a runny nose but ended up getting into his chest. Tony stayed home with Milo on Friday. We've been taking turns running errands and doing xmas shopping so one of us is home with the sick little guy.
A week earlier we spent some time in urgent care with Milo due to a crazy rash all over his stomach, legs, and the tops of his hands. After baths he would have really dry skin. We would put lotion on it and he would feel better. Well, apparently, lotion is the worst thing for his skin. He has eczema and the lotion was making his skin dry out even faster which also caused him to have several dry, red, patchy spots. I guess we didn't need to go to
urgent care for this- but when I picked him up from daycare that afternoon his skin looked so much worse than when I dropped him off.
Today we took Milo in for his 15 month check up. Everything went well and the doctor said his lungs sounded better than they did on Friday. So hopefully that means the bronchiolitis is on its way out. After each checkup we get a handy sheet with facts and tips between now and the next checkup. Today's sheet mentioned that tantrum usually start between 15 and 18 months. Milo must have read that sheet because he freaked out in Kroger. Definitely his first tantrum. It was not fun. I'm really not looking forward to more of those. I wish there was a vegetable he could eat to ward the tantrums off. That would be nice.
How come it seems like we can go two months without going to the doctor and then all of a sudden we are there every week for something? Hooray for parenthood!
Sorry I haven't posted any new pics in a while. I'm a slacker. Well, that and our regular camera's batteries never stay charged anymore. Grrr.
Poor kiddo. I hope he's starting to feel better now. It's funny that his tantrum came so "textbook" in timing.
