Happy Baby = Milo

Milo is 20 weeks old now but he won' be officially 5 months old until February 16th. Last weekend he started trying to roll over. Usually babies roll over from stomach to back before they roll over from back to stomach. Milo isn't a big fan of laying on his tummy so he might just do this in reverse order. He also took two small naps in his crib last weekend. Yay! Hopefully we can get him to do this more often so we can start getting him to sleep in his crib at night.

We've had to change Milo's feeding schedule at the daycare. He was eating 4 oz every 3 hours (3 bottles at daycare). The teachers kept telling me Milo would cry 30 minutes before his feeding time. He does this at home, but it is typically tired cries. One teacher in particular kept asking for more milk in his bottles. She has the mindset that a healthy baby is a fat, formula fed baby. I had to do some brainstorming with some people (Tony, friends, and a La Leche League lady) and decided to try more frequent feedings at daycare. Hopefully this will make everyone happier.

One of my new favorite pictures of Milo. He looks like such a little man just chillin' on the couch.

Milo loves hanging out in his swing. Look how happy he is. I love him so much.

  2. In the pic of Milo chillin on the couch, I notice he has his pant leg pushed up. An obvious sign of gang affiliation. YOU WERE WARNED!

  3. Good for you for fighting for breast is best. I know it's hard and there's often pressure from daycares to make the switch to formula. For some reason, they think it makes their life easier. Why it would, I don't know. It'd be nice if the health of the children was more important than the convenience of having an abundance of powdered milk to stuff the babies with. Hopefully more feedings worked out. Milo is so cute. I can't wait to see him again some day. I'll send him donuts when he's older and be his favorite distant friend that he doesn't remember.

  5. Christy- the 4 feedings two hours apart at daycare are working out much better. I haven't been harassed in 1.5 weeks now! Woo-hoo. I like the daycare a lot more these days! I love your plan to be Milo's favorite friend from afar, but I want him to know and remember you!
